DEBRECZIENER GOURMET FESTIVAL

Every summer on the shores of Békás Lake at the Great Forest, visitors can taste gastronomic specialties with the participation of the country’s most famous restaurants (dining restaurants, bistros, food trucks).

DEBRECEN WINE AND JAZZ DAYS

The oldest continuously operating domestic jazz festival and the Debrecen Wine Carnival were merged in 2015: the Debrecen Wine and Jazz Days represent the forefront of the domestic gastro-cultural program next to Békás Lake.

CAMPUS FESTIVAL

Debrecen’s four-day pop music program series is held at the Great Forest every year in July.

DEBRECZEN FLAVOR FESTIVAL

Every autumn, performers representing a variety of musical styles enhance the taste experience: the most popular pálinka houses and restaurants offer the best of their drinks and menus. It is now a tradition to charge the doubles in Debrecen.

DEBRECEN FLOWER CARNIVAL

It is one of the largest and most spectacular cultural events in our country, which celebrated its 50th birthday in 2016. Its central element is the carnival parade on August 20, during which floral arrangements made using hundreds of thousands of live flowers are paraded through the streets of Debrecen accompanied by domestic and foreign dancers and traditionalist groups. By today, the flower carnival has grown into Carnival Week – visitors to the city can enjoy children’s programs, concerts, and theater performances.

ADVENT FAIR

During the period of waiting for Christmas, the Advent fair operates on the main square, on Piac Street and on the renewed Dósa Nádor Square, where unique handicrafts, seasonal delicacies and hot drinks are offered.

MICHAEL'S DAY FAIR

At the spring and autumn outdoor fairs, you can choose from a wide variety of handicrafts and applied art items, as well as items that follow the latest trends. Hundreds of merchants and artisans offer their wares at the fair and the street of artisans.

MANGALICA FESTIVAL

The real value of the Kossuth square event is that those interested can meet the breeders directly, and in many cases they can buy the product from the person who produced it. Final products from stock controlled by the National Association of Mangalica Breeders may only be present on the program.

MARTIN'S DAY GOOSE FEAST

On the main square of Debrecen, traditional, delicious goose dishes are prepared in show kitchens, and wineries of Eger offer their delicious juices in honor of the new wine.
